Policies for Moose & Maple Games:

Rental Terms and Conditions:

  • By renting with Moose & Maple Games, Clients agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions outlined in this policy.

Game Selection and Availability:

  • Game availability may vary and is subject to change based on demand and inventory.
  • Clients can check the availability of games by contacting our Client support or visiting our website.
  • The games may be slightly different in appearance compared to rental literature due to wear and tear.

Rental Duration:

  • The standard rental duration is up to 24 hours per game. Extended rental periods may be available upon request and additional charges.

Reservation and Payment:

  • A reservation is required to secure game rentals for specific dates and times. 
  • A deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
  • Payment in full must be received by no later than 24 hours prior to the reservation time. 
  • Payment methods accepted include credit/debit cards or electronic transfers. Moose & Maple Games is a cash free business.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the rental date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the rental date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental date.
  • If inclement weather prevents us from setting up the games, we will offer client a rain check. Client may reschedule for free within 365 days from the date of the original event. All deposits and payments paid will be applied to the new event. Moose & Maple Games will honour all sales and discounts and apply them to the new date.

Damage Deposit:

  • A damage deposit will be collected at the time of rental and refunded upon the safe return of the games in good condition.
  • The damage deposit will be used to cover any damages beyond normal wear and tear to the rental items.

Delivery and Pickup:

  • Delivery and pickup services are included in the cost of a rental provided the location is within the Edmonton City Limits. Locations outside of this area may be charged an additional fee.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate delivery and pickup location details.
  • Deliveries will be made no less than 30 minutes prior to your event start time.
  • The games will be delivered and set up by our team, ensuring they are ready for use.
  • We do not set up the yard games on wet or inclined surfaces.
  • Holiday deliveries and after hours deliveries may incur additional charges.

Client Responsibility:

  • Client is solely responsible for securing a venue for the event that meets Moose & Maple Games' criteria. We reserve the right to modify the clients' rental based on the size and features of the venue, if needed.
  • Clients must get official approval from the venue for their event. If the event is cancelled by venue/park staff during the event, Moose & Maple Games will not refund the event. 
  • Clients are responsible for the games during the rental period and must ensure their proper use and safety.
  • Any lost, stolen, or damaged games will be charged at their replacement cost to the client.
  • It's the customer's responsibility to keep the games dry during periodic precipitation (snow, sleet or rain). (Place under tent, indoors or cover them up)

Weather Guidelines:

  • Moose & Maple Games will not allow play or set up in the following conditions. Sole discretion ultimately lies with Moose & Maple Games.
  • Heavy rain and/or lightning/thunder
  • Heavy snowfall
  • Muddy fields
  • Temperatures hotter than 32 degrees or colder than -32 degrees for outdoor events
  • Moose & Maple Games may allow playing in light rain. However, there may be an additional $50 cleaning charge, per game if they are returned excessively muddy or dirty.
  • For events with mixed forecasts, if Moose & Maple Games recommends cancelling and the client wishes to proceed with the booking, the client forfeits any right to later reschedule or request a refund for any time missed due to weather. Moose & Maple Games reserves the right to make the final decision in weather related cancellations, but will defer to the client's preference for forecasts with small chances of inclement weather.

Safety Guidelines:

  • Clients must follow safety guidelines and rules provided by Moose & Maple Games for each game.
  • Safety instructions and rules will be provided upon rental and must be communicated to all participants by the client.

Usage Restrictions:

  • Games should only be used in appropriate locations and under suitable conditions to prevent damage.
  • Games should not be used in adverse weather conditions that could lead to unsafe gameplay.

Supervision:

  • An adult supervisor must be present during the game rental if minors are involved to ensure proper usage and safety.

Liability Waiver:

  • Clients will be required to sign a liability waiver before the rental period, releasing Moose & Maple Games from any liability for injuries or damages that may occur during the rental.

Late Returns:

  • Games must be returned on time at the end of the rental period.
  • Late returns may incur additional charges or penalties.
  • If client does not return the games and all accompanying accessories on the return time specified in the agreement, Moose & Maple Games may take steps to recover and repossess the games. By making a reservation the client hereby authorizes and grants Moose & Maple Games and/or its' agents the right to enter their premises (front, side, or backyard) to recover and repossess the games and all accompanying accessories.

Client Support:

  • Our client support team is available to assist with any inquiries or concerns related to game rentals.

Privacy Policy:

  • Moose & Maple Games values client privacy and will handle personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.
